CALHOUN COUNTY, MI — Two people were killed when a semitruck hit them on I-94, the Michigan State Police said.
The crash occurred around 9 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, on eastbound I-94 near 22 ½ Mile Road in Marengo Township.
The truck hit and fatally injured two motorists who were on the shoulder of the road after exiting their truck to check on a flat tire, MSP said after a preliminary investigation.
Eastbound I-94 remains closed at Exit 115. The road will remain closed while troopers investigate the crash.
