SAN ANTONIO — An off-duty Bexar County constable was seriously injured after an Amazon crashed into his vehicle from behind on the northeast side of town.
It happened around 3 a.m. Wednesday morning on I-35 South at Crosswinds Way.
The 62-year-old off-duty constable was working in a construction zone in an SUV with his emergency lights on when the Amazon 18-wheeler truck driver hit him from behind.
He told emergency workers that he could not feel his legs. He was taken to BAMC in serious condition. The driver of the 18-wheeler was evaluated and was not found to be intoxicated.
The crash is under investigation.
