Tim VanGoethem

Tim VanGoethem is Chief Product Officer at ESS. His role is to drive the product strategies, solution roadmaps, innovation initiatives, business model definitions, pricing strategies, and customer pursuit strategies that fuel ESS’s growth. He has over 30 years of product and innovation experience in the connected vehicle, in-cabin experience, and cloud-enabled solutions space. Tim served in various roles during his 10 years with HARMAN International, including Vice President of Automotive Product Management, Vice President of Advanced Mobility Solutions, and Vice President of Platform Development; bringing many industry-first innovations to market. Prior to HARMAN, Tim worked at Motorola, leading the product definition for future semiconductor technologies, Android-based mobile devices, context-based user experiences, first-generation Telematics systems, and advanced in-dash electronic solutions. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University and serves as a member of Iowa State’s EE/CpE Advisory Council.
