Marc Morial

Marc H. Morial is President and CEO of the National Urban League, the nation's largest historic civil rights and urban advocacy organization. As Mayor of New Orleans from 1994 to 2002, Morial led New Orleans’ renaissance, and left office with a 70% approval rating. Morial brings with him a broad range of business and leadership experience from the public and private sectors, as well as a distinguished track record as a globally recognized champion for diversity, equality and opportunity. Under his leadership, Morial has expanded the reach of NUL’s services with initiatives such as the Urban Youth Empowerment Program, establishment of Entrepreneurship Centers, as well as NUL’s Empowerment Fund - which has provided nearly $200 million to urban impact businesses through both debt and equity investments. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Economics and African American Studies, he also holds a law degree from the Georgetown University.
