As VP of Sales, Stephen leads the company’s business development and corporate partnerships. He co-founded the company with his long-time friend and business colleague, David Tucker, after learning of David’s nearly tragic personal experience with the roadway safety case that now underpins ESS’ mission. Before co-founding ESS, Stephen was CEO of Pinnacle Reliability, a global provider of data-driven reliability performance optimization solutions for industrial facilities in the oil and gas, chemical, mining and water treatment industries. Prior to Pinnacle, he started his post-graduate career as a management consultant, then moved into risk management and trading for a hedge fund and then onto corporate finance roles ranging from FP&A manager to CFO at PwC Consulting, Koch Capital Markets, Asurion, Aggreko, and Helix Energy Solutions. Stephen holds a BBA in Accounting and Information Management and a Master in Professional Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin and is a licensed CPA in the State of Texas.
